Job Overview
Johnson & Johnson announced plans to separate its Orthopedics business to establish a standalone orthopedics company, DePuy Synthes. The separation is expected to conclude in 18–24 months. The Financial Analyst, FP&A Data & Analytics will support the Financial Planning & Analysis organization by delivering timely, accurate financial insights through data‑driven analysis.
Key Responsibilities- Support annual budgeting and monthly forecasting processes, including variance and trend analysis.
- Prepare actual vs. forecast and actual vs. plan analyses for management reporting.
- Assemble, track, and analyze monthly business performance metrics and trends.
- Enhance, standardize, and improve the use of financial and operational data and reporting tools.
- Identify issues, risks, and opportunities through financial analysis and recommend actions.
- Assist in preparing presentations and materials for senior management and business reviews.
- Provide day‑to‑day analytical and operational finance support to internal stakeholders.
- Adhere to established safety, privacy, and confidentiality standards.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field.
- 2–4 years of relevant work experience in finance, FP&A, analytics, or a related field.
- Foundational knowledge of financial planning, forecasting, and reporting concepts.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial and operational data.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and standard financial systems or reporting tools.
- Ability to organize data, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with data visualization or analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
- Exposure to budgeting and forecasting cycles in a matrixed organization.
- Experience supporting manufacturing, supply chain, or commercial finance.
- Understanding of standard accounting principles and financial controls.
- Experience preparing materials for senior leadership audiences.
- Language requirements:
English proficiency. - Travel:
Minimal; expected to be less than 10 %. - Certifications:
CPA, CMA, or similar certifications preferred but not required.
Base pay range: 79,000.00 – USD.
BenefitsEligible for the company’s retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)). Time‑off benefits include 120 hours of vacation per year, 40 hours of sick time (48 hours for Colorado residents, 56 hours for Washington residents), 13 days of holiday pay (including floating holidays), up to 40 hours of work, personal and family time, and 480 hours of parental leave within one year of birth/adoption/foster care.
Additional leave: 240 hours bereavement leave, 80 hours caregiver leave, 32 hours volunteer leave, 80 hours military spouse time‑off.
