Job Overview
This role provides strategic and operational finance leadership to support business performance, decision-making, and long-range planning within DePuy Synthes. The Sr. Manager, Business Ops / Finance partners closely with cross-functional and senior leaders to drive financial rigor, improve processes, and enable sustainable growth. This is a highly visible role with direct impact on business results, resource allocation, and operational effectiveness across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting processes to support short- and long-term business objectives.
- Partner with business and functional leaders to provide financial insights, scenario analysis, and recommendations that drive performance.
- Oversee management reporting, variance analysis, and performance metrics to ensure transparency and accountability.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance financial processes, controls, and operational efficiency.
- Support strategic initiatives, including investment evaluations, cost optimization, and business case development.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Lead and develop finance talent, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and professional growth.
Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field (required).
- MBA or advanced degree (preferred).
Experience and Skills:
Required:
- Minimum 8–10 years of progressive experience in finance, business operations, or related roles.
- Demonstrated experience in financial planning, forecasting, and management reporting.
- Proven ability to partner with cross-functional stakeholders and influence at the senior leadership level.
- Experience leading teams and developing talent in a matrixed environment.
- Solid understanding of internal controls, compliance, and financial governance.
Preferred:
- Experience supporting a global or multi-business organization.
- Background in medical devices, life sciences, or a regulated industry.
- Experience driving process improvements or finance transformation initiatives.
- Advanced financial modeling and scenario planning capabilities.
- Prior experience partnering with operations, supply chain, or commercial teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.

CPA, CMA, or similar (preferred).
