Senior Financial Analyst – Instrumentation (Raynham, MA)
Key Responsibilities:- Serve as finance business partner for Instrumentation for US businesses; collaborate with supply/demand planning, business unit/franchise/regional finance, commercial operations, and field audit/compliance teams.
- Develop analytics to support business initiatives and guide instrumentation spend decisions.
- Perform month-end closing: journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations for instrument capital, depreciation, expense, profit elimination, taxes, impairments, disposals, and related write-offs.
- Manage financial updates (Business Plan, Forecasts, Long Range Financial Plan, actual vs. budget, ad-hoc analyses).
- Ensure in-scope financial reporting requirements are delivered.
- Lead monthly performance reviews; identify risks/opportunities to the Business Plan and forecasts.
- Develop processes using systems/technology for annual instrument set forecasting and instrument SKU classification.
- Promote consistent processes/tools across businesses; participate in process improvements.
- Challenge requests/decisions; develop alternative solutions; educate partners on financial issues/policies.
- Build processes/reporting to track instrument spend (capex, field deployments, distribution center instrumentation, loose goods, depreciation, PII).
- Assist annual field audits and respond to annual/ad-hoc audit and compliance requests.
- Directly supervise interns/co-ops in the Instruments finance team.
- Bachelor’s degree required (Accounting/Finance preferred); CPA/MBA/CMA or other certification preferred.
- Minimum 3 years finance experience required.
- Proficiency:
Microsoft Office; advanced Excel and presentation required. - Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- SAP, JDE, TM1 or similar systems preferred.
- Organizational, communication, interpersonal skills; self-starter in matrix environment.
- Ability to work in dynamic environment, recommend/implement process improvements, handle multiple tasks; up to 10% travel.
