Are you eager to dive into the dynamic world of developmental disabilities and make a real impact? May Institute is looking for a passionate Director of Day Services to join our talented team in Raynham, MA
.
In this role, you will oversee the overall operations and supervision of our Adult Day Habilitation Program. You will ensure service quality and comply with Mass Health and DPH regulations while supporting therapeutic programming that increases the independence, self-determination, and productivity of the individuals we serve. This position reports directly to the Center Vice President.
What You’ll Do- Hire, supervise,
and take appropriate personnel actions with staff - Oversee scheduling while assigning responsibilities and supporting appropriate staffing and continuity of care.
- Oversee therapeutic programming designed to increase independence in self-care, behavior management, recreation, activities of daily living, and other essential skills.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop, implement, and evaluate procedures for meeting each individual’s goals and objectives.
- Ensure individual plans and behavioral goals are implemented appropriately while remaining informed of relevant clinical changes through meetings, documentation, and reporting.
- Evaluate and document individual progress
, ensuring all required records are completed accurately and in accordance with May Institute, funder, and legal and regulatory requirements. - Oversee program finances by managing the budget, petty cash, consumer accounts, financial records, receipts, and expense documentation.
- Manage emergency preparedness and incident reporting
, including Emergency Management Plan checklists and the timely documentation of incidents and physical-management interventions.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in a health related field is strongly preferred
- At least three years of relevant health care experience
, of which at least two of those years must have been spent in a supervisory role - Experience may be considered in lieu of Degree as per Mass Health and DPH regulations:
- Six years of relevant health care experience, with three of those years serving in a supervisory role, may be substituted in lieu of a bachelor’s degree.
- Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the demonstrated ability to lead and support a team.
- Qualities: Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment.
- Knowledge: Working knowledge of Mass Health and DPH regulations.
