Key Responsibilities
As a co-op in the Mitek R&D department, opportunities exist to work on solutions such as electro-mechanical systems and their respective components (tubing, powered blades and burrs, powered hand pieces, etc.). You will be provided training curriculum including on the job, virtual, and in classroom.
The incumbent will be encouraged to lead portions of the projects driving product development and value creation initiatives that contribute to continued success of the Mitek portfolio. You will also be assigned mentor to provide support throughout the program.
The position offers a unique opportunity to work independently and experience the end to end process of product development. There is strong emphasis on providing an outstanding experience within orthopaedic medical device development.
This position will be conducted virtually with some in-person for the duration.

Qualifications
- Self-motivated with an interest in anatomic repair and/or medical devices for the orthopedic market
- 3-D modeling skills (Creo preferred)
- Experience using hand tools and performing mechanical testing, proven problem-solving capabilities, and the ability to communicate technical information
- Must be enrolled in an accredited college, pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Biomechanical, or Biomedical), in sophomore year or above.
- This position is located in Raynham, MA. You must be able to provide your own transportation since this location is not within walking distance from the train station.
Candidate Eligibility Requirements
- Be authorized to work in the US without current or future sponsorship requirements.
- Remain actively enrolled in their academic program throughout the entire internship period.
- Be available to work 40 hours per week during the internship.
- Should have a minimum GPA of 3

The anticipated base pay range for this position is:
$23.50/hr to $52.50/hr
The expected pay range for this position is between $23.50 per hour and $52.50 per hour but will be based on candidate's program year, discipline, degree and/or experience. Co-Ops/Interns are eligible to participate in Company sponsored employee medical benefits in accordance with the terms of the plan. Co-Ops and Interns are eligible for the following sick time benefits: up to 40 hours per calendar year;
for employees who reside in the State of Washington, up to 56 hours per calendar year. Co-Ops and Interns are eligible to participate in the Company's consolidated retirement plan (pension).
