Overview
Johnson & Johnson is seeking a Human Resources Leader for the Spine Global Business Unit. You will set and lead the people strategy, design, governance, and delivery of HR programs supporting the Spine organization worldwide, reporting to the Head of HR for Spine, Sports, and CMF Global Business Unit.
Core Responsibilities Business Strategy- Fluent in key business strategies and the external market competitive landscape.
- Diagnose business needs through analysis and data, align the HR function accordingly, and represent OneHR in strategic discussions.
- Partner with the business on annual and long‑range financial planning, including workforce planning.
- Support organizational design, A&D activities, and the overall communications plan.
- Lead organizational design efforts to position the business for the future.
- Identify and diagnose talent needs using business and analytical acumen.
- Develop and deploy a talent strategy that attracts, develops, rewards, and retains talent, with a focus on succession planning and critical capability building.
- Manage talent initiatives, set priorities, and measure progress through talent metrics.
- Partner with Talent Acquisition to source and acquire talent in critical capability areas.
- Lead succession planning for key roles and assess pipeline strength.
- Execute workforce planning aligned with business strategy.
- Support career planning, competency frameworks, and talent‑planning exercises.
- Shape culture and employee engagement strategies guided by Our Credo and survey insights.
- Define and build key mindsets and behaviors for the business.
- Drive a culture of growth, collaboration, and inclusion.
- Partner on engagement strategy with the communications team.
- Support cultural transformations of the business.
- Develop trusted partnerships and coaching relationships with leaders.
- Identify team effectiveness programs, identify facilitators, and ensure meaningful engagement.
- Develop onboarding plans for new leaders and coach on performance, stakeholder interactions, and team effectiveness.
- Consult on disciplinary actions and support employee/manager coaching.
- Ensure communication and integration of Corporate Services Enterprise efforts in the business.
- Location:
Raynham, MA, Raritan, NJ, West Chester, PA, Palm Beach Gardens, FL, or Warsaw, IN; 20% travel required. - Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 6+ years of progressive HR experience, including executive‑level business partnering and enterprise talent strategy leadership.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; ability to influence leaders and translate complex topics.
- Ability to create executive‑ready narratives and materials for senior leadership.
- Strong analytical, critical‑thinking, and problem‑solving capabilities with business and financial acumen.
- Ability to synthesize complex inputs into clear recommendations.
- Strong attention to detail, commitment to quality, and ability to operate with pace and rigor.
- Demonstrated partnership with Finance to align talent strategy with financial outcomes.
- Proven leadership of multiple complex work streams and delivery of results in a fast‑paced, evolving environment.
- Strong cross‑functional collaboration and influence skills.
- Ability to build credibility and navigate complex stakeholder environments.
- MBA or other advanced degree in HR, Business, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Experience supporting a commercial organization within a global, matrixed, publicly traded company.
Base pay range: $ – $.
