Job Summary

Johnson & Johnson Med Tech Orthopaedics is recruiting for a Service & Repair Lead:
Plan & Logistics-Orthopaedics, located in Palm Beach Gardens, FL, Raynham, MA, Warsaw, IN or West Chester, PA.

Johnson & Johnson announced plans to separate our Orthopedics business to establish a standalone orthopedics company, operating as DePuy Synthes. The process of the planned separation is anticipated to be completed within 18 to 24 months, subject to legal requirements, including consultation with works councils, regulatory approvals and other customary conditions. Should you accept this position, you would be an employee of DePuy Synthes and your employment would be governed by DePuy Synthes employment processes, programs, policies and benefit plans.

This role leads Service & Repair planning and logistics workstream for the DePuy Synthes repair depot network, developing global inventory strategy, demand planning and governance frameworks to improve service performance and cost efficiency. You will lead the establishment of integrated planning and regional logistics processes to support operational excellence, compliance and on‑time delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead end‑to‑end service planning design for the DePuy Synthes repair depot network, documenting current state, defining the target operating model, and identifying capability gaps and migration paths.
  • Develop a standardized process to identify and maintain visibility to all regional and local service pool inventories (loaner, exchange, demo, backup), and plan inventory levels to optimize customer service while minimizing inventory costs.
  • Design and implement a global analytics and inventory governance framework specifically for service and repair: define KPIs, build operational dashboards, and set inventory policies (segmentation, safety stock, reorder rules) to drive service performance.
  • Establish and operationalize a service‑centric IBP/S&OP process that integrates base demand, market expansions, field replaceable unit requirements, NPIs, and special projects across all four regions.
  • Standardize demand and supply planning workflows for each depot and central repair component nodes, with clear inputs, review cadence and order generation rules.
  • Develop and manage a strategic logistics framework for each region that standardizes trade‑compliant processes, optimizes customs clearance and routing, and aligns shipping schedules to minimize inter‑region lead times — with defined KPIs and escalation paths for landed lead‑time, customs clearance time, cost‑to‑serve, and on‑time delivery.
  • Partner cross‑functionally with regional service & repair partners, operations, quality and commercial teams to align planning priorities and resolve supply and logistics constraints.
  • Support new product introductions, lifecycle changes, and network transitions by ensuring service and repair planning readiness, material availability and logistics execution.
Education
  • Bachelor’s degree required in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Operations, Logistics or a related field.
  • Master’s degree preferred, such as an MBA or a graduate degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering or a related discipline.
Required Experience and Skills
  • Minimum 8–10 years of progressive experience in supply chain planning, logistics, service operations or related functions within a complex global environment.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in at least two of the following functional areas: planning, logistics, service and repair, manufacturing, distribution or process excellence.
  • Experience leading S&OP/IBP processes in a complex cross‑functional environment.
  • Strong end‑to‑end supply chain planning experience, including inventory strategy, demand planning and operational execution.
  • Proven track record of leading large‑scale programs, process transformation or continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Experience working with SAP, MRP, planning systems and data‑driven performance management tools.
  • Understanding of financial drivers, including P&L, cost of goods sold, inventory write‑offs and cost‑to‑serve considerations.
Preferred
  • Experience in medical device, healthcare or other highly regulated…
