Job Overview
The Global Institute & Operations Director plays a pivotal leadership role in shaping and advancing DePuy Synthes' global professional education strategy. This role drives excellence in medical education programs and learning systems, ensuring alignment with commercial objectives, regulatory standards, and evolving healthcare needs. The position offers the opportunity to lead transformative initiatives, enhance training effectiveness through data-driven insights, and build a high-performing, purpose-driven global education organization.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the development and execution of global education strategies, ensuring alignment with Commercial Excellence priorities and enterprise objectives.
• Oversee global professional education programs, ensuring sustainability, innovation, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate program effectiveness and drive continuous improvement in training outcomes.
• Direct cross-functional teams and external partners to deliver high-impact learning experiences and operational excellence.
• Translate organizational vision into medium-to long-term operational strategies (3–5 years) that enhance education capabilities and commercial performance.
• Manage global operations including planning, budgeting, performance management, and compliance for education programs.
• Drive adoption of innovative learning technologies and systems to enhance engagement and scalability of education delivery.
• Partner with senior stakeholders across regions and functions to align educational initiatives with customer, patient, and business needs.
• Champion a purpose-driven culture by embedding Johnson & Johnson's Credo and Leadership Imperatives into education strategies and team practices.
Qualifications
Education:
• Bachelor's degree required (e.g., Business, Education, Life Sciences, Healthcare, or related field)
• Advanced degree (MBA, Master's, or equivalent) preferred
Experience and Skills:
Required:
• Significant leadership experience in global education, commercial excellence, or related functions
• Proven ability to lead complex, cross-functional teams and global initiatives in a matrixed environment
• Demonstrated experience developing and implementing education or training strategies tied to business outcomes
• Strong operational leadership, including budget management, performance oversight, and compliance execution
• Experience using KPIs and analytics to monitor and improve program effectiveness
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders and translate strategy into actionable programs
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational leadership capabilities
Preferred:
• Experience in Med Tech, healthcare, or professional medical education environments
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements governing medical education programs
• Experience implementing digital learning platforms or innovative education technologies
• Track record of driving global process standardization and operational excellence
• Experience managing external vendors, academic partnerships, or institutes
• Knowledge of commercial enablement, sales training, or customer engagement strategies
