DePuy Synthes is recruiting a Sr. Manager, Strategic Project Management to lead complex, cross‑functional programs that drive growth, transformation, and operational excellence. - Lead multiple, large‑scale strategic initiatives and interdependent programs aligned to business priorities and transformation objectives.
- Define project scope, success metrics, timelines, resource plans, and budgets; ensure disciplined execution and benefit realization.
- Partner with senior leaders and cross‑functional stakeholders to align priorities, resolve risks, and remove execution barriers.
- Establish and govern project management standards, tools, and best practices to improve consistency and delivery performance.
- Provide clear, executive‑level communication on project status, milestones, financial health, and risks.
- Proactively identify dependencies, risks, and change impacts; develop mitigation and change management plans.
- Lead and mentor project managers and team members, fostering accountability, development, and high performance.
- Ensure projects comply with internal governance, quality standards, and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Life Sciences, or a related field.
- Master’s degree (MBA or equivalent) preferred.
- 8–10 years of progressive experience in project and/or program management within a complex, matrixed organization.
- Demonstrated success leading enterprise‑level, cross‑functional initiatives with significant scope and impact.
- Advanced proficiency with project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, hybrid).
- Proven leadership, influencing, and stakeholder management capabilities at senior levels.
- Expertise in project governance, risk management, budgeting, and performance tracking.
- Excellent communication skills, including executive‑ready presentations and status reporting.
- Strong strategic thinking and execution skills, with the ability to translate strategy into actionable plans.
- English language proficiency (required). Limited travel up to ~20% domestic.
- Preferred experience in medical devices, life sciences, or a highly regulated industry; experience leading transformation, integration, or large change initiatives; familiarity with portfolio management and enterprise PMO environments; people leadership and talent development experience.
- Certifications:
PMP, PgMP, or equivalent (preferred).
Base salary range: $122,000 – $245,000 annually.
