What you’ll do

Leads and develops teams effectively by teaching, training, and actively listening to associates in stores, providing feedback, and Tourto Teach communicating and collaborating with all levels of associates regarding store operations.

Utilizes technology, business initiatives, merchandising, and company direction to introduce and lead change efforts, providing clear expectations and guidance for implementing business solutions and communicating objectives to teams.

Models and demonstrates exceptional customer service standards to store associates by following and demonstrating the One Best Way (OBW) service model, managing and supporting customer service initiatives, and resolving complaints and issues by developing and implementing action plans.

Drives financial performance and sales by reviewing and evaluating profit‑loss statements, managing budgeting, forecasting, and controlling expenses, and ensuring effective merchandise presentation, seasonal transitions, inventory flow, and operational processes while mitigating shrink to achieve sales and profit goals.

Provides supervision and development opportunities for hourly associates, hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, setting clear expectations, offering recognition, and promoting a belonging mindset in the workplace.

Coordinates and oversees job‑related activities, building relationships with key stakeholders, supporting plans and initiatives that meet customer and business needs, and building accountability for progress and results.

Ensures compliance with company policies, supports company mission, values, and ethics, and implements related action plans, including the Open Door Policy, to promote integrity and ethical behavior.

Creates a workplace that embraces differences, builds high‑performing teams, and fosters belonging with energy and positivity to motivate and influence associates.

Attracts, retains, and develops talent, recognizes contributions, and acts with integrity by fostering a regenerative company culture that positively impacts associates, customers, and the community.

Delivers results while putting the customer first, applies the EDLP and EDLC business models, makes data‑driven decisions, and balances short‑ and long‑term priorities while considering all stakeholders.

Driving continuous improvement, adopting new technologies, and supporting others through change.

Credentials and Experience
  • Minimum 2 years of college; or 1 year of retail experience and 1 year of supervisory experience; or 2 years of general work experience and 1 year of supervisory experience.
  • For facilities that sell firearms, successful completion of a firearms‑specific Criminal Background Check and Firearms Authorized Training is required.
  • For facilities that sell only ammunition and have state‑specific requirements, a current state‑issued Certificate of Eligibility may be required.
  • Associates must attend and complete all job‑required trainings and assessments, such as Academy trainings and Open Door trainings.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership (Live Better U and Bellevue University) and experience supervising five or more direct reports, including performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing.

The annual salary range for this position is $65,000.00 – $. Additional compensation may include regional pay zone (based on location) and complex structure (based on external factors that create challenges).
