Overview
Johnson & Johnson’s DePuy Synthes Orthopaedics team develops next‑generation, minimally invasive solutions for joint reconstruction, trauma, spine and sports medicine. We focus on delivering personalized, high‑value treatments that improve patient outcomes across the United States.
Key Responsibilities- Prospect and plan: identify, qualify and develop relationships with surgeons and key accounts within a geographic territory.
- Drive product sales: present, demonstrate and ensure proper utilization of all assigned orthopaedic products.
- Build customer relations: work with surgeons, operating room staff and hospital personnel to maintain regular contact and support surgical cases.
- Customer care: provide timely problem solving, education and in‑service workshops to surgeons and support staff.
- Inventory management: maintain sales equipment and promotional materials in compliance with company policies.
- Promotion of new or strategic products: implement balanced sales mix plans and actively pursue competitive opportunities.
- Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 3 years of professional experience, or an Associate’s degree/medical certification (CST, PT, etc.) with at least 5 years of experience.
- Minimum of 8 years of professional experience in a relevant field, or transition from active military duty with at least 3 years of relevant experience.
- Strong interpersonal communication, influencing, critical‑thinking and problem‑solving skills.
- Experience in data analysis and a proven ability to work independently and autonomously.
- Knowledge of human anatomy and basic surgical procedures; technical product knowledge of orthopaedic instruments and solutions preferred.
- Valid U.S. driver’s license.
- Ability to travel, including weekends or overnight stays.
- Resident of or able to relocate to the posted territory.
- Legal capacity to work for U.S. employers (those under 18 require parent consent and applicable documentation).
Position is 100% commission/incentive with a bi‑weekly draw.
