Monday – Friday 1st shift – Saturdays as needed
United Ag & Turf NE is seeking a Set‑Up & Service Technician to join our Service team. This role is responsible for assembling and preparing equipment for sale, performing pre‑delivery inspections, and ensuring machines are customer‑ready. Work must be completed safely, professionally, and efficiently while maintaining high quality standards. Some guidance may be provided by the Service Manager, Shop Foreman, or senior technicians.
WhatYou’ll Do
- Set up and assemble all types of equipment offered for sale
- Perform pre‑delivery inspections and prepare equipment for customer delivery
- Assist the Service Manager and technicians in daily department operations
- Assist technicians with repairing, servicing, and moving equipment as needed
- Deliver parts to technicians when required
- Maintain shop cleanliness, organization, and equipment condition
- Operate and maintain vehicles, tools, and equipment safely
- Accurately complete work orders, diagnostics, and repair documentation
- Maintain accountability for billable time and assigned tasks
- Follow all safety rules and company procedures
- Participate in training programs to develop skills and product knowledge
- Experience operating equipment, tools, and vehicles used in machinery setup and pre‑delivery processes
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to assemble equipment and perform maintenance functions
- Strong teamwork skills and ability to work cooperatively
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Must own or obtain an adequate toolset (specialty tools may be provided)
- Valid driver’s license required
- High school diploma or GED
