Tax Accountant

Kansas City Metro (Raytown, MO) | Full Time | On Site with Flexibility

We are looking for a detail oriented and proactive Mid to Senior Level Tax Accountant to join our growing team. The ideal candidate holds an active CPA or Enrolled Agent designation and has at least 3 to 5 years of experience in accounting and tax preparation.

• Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, partnerships, S-corporations, and corporations.
• Assist with year round tax planning and strategy for clients and businesses.
• Manage and review the work of junior accountants to ensure accuracy and timely delivery.
• Provide IRS and state agency representation when required.
• Conduct tax research and ensure compliance with current tax laws and regulations.
• Maintain bookkeeping, process payroll, and prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

• Active CPA or Enrolled Agent designation required.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in public accounting or corporate tax.
• Strong 1040 experience is a must.
• Proficiency with Drake, Quick Books, Xero, or Net Suite.
• Subject matter expertise in corporate, partnership, individual, or trust and estate taxation.
