Client Relationship Manager
The Person al Banker III at UMB plays a pivotal role in strengthening customer relationships, recommending UMB products and services, and ensuring the branch achieves its performance targets.
Responsibilities- Support the Branch Manager by clearly communicating priorities and, when necessary, overseeing the entire branch staff in the manager’s absence.
- Encourage branch achievement of performance targets through daily huddles and intra‑day checkpoints with team members.
- Deliver an unparalleled customer experience by managing the choreography of customer interactions, refining staff scheduling, and supporting key business development initiatives.
- Ensure the branch operates safely by following policies, procedures, and guidelines and maintaining satisfactory audit ratings.
- Maintain high standards for security, account opening activities, and resolution of customer escalations.
- Act as interim Branch Manager during periods when the Branch Manager is offsite, supporting the Personal Banking Team and daily branch functions.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least three years of retail banking sales experience or equivalent, with a proven ability to achieve sales targets.
- Ability to work branch hours, including weekends and some evenings.
- Can obtain NMLS registration within 90 days.
- Passion for leading and developing others; experience coaching sales teams.
- Thrives in a high‑energy, sales‑driven environment and leverages daily coaching and feedback to improve outcomes.
- Expert product knowledge and strong conversation skills to build upon customers’ needs.
- Excellent communication, project a positive image, and enjoy solving problems.
- Attention to detail in completing documents and explaining features and benefits.
- Basic math skills and ability to problem‑solve within established risk parameters.
- Strong business development capabilities: proactively grow a personal book of business through campaign offers, prospecting, service‑to‑sales conversations, and referrals.
- Strong ability to build personal connections, engage and educate customers and teammates, ask open‑ended questions, and establish trust.
- Quick and accurate learning of new products, services, and procedures.
- Bonus: college degree or military education, bilingual language skills.

US Employees in Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Illinois, Massachusetts, Maryland, Minnesota, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Texas, Washington, and Wisconsin: $43,000 – $62,800
US Employees in all other states: $38,910 – $56,990
