Greenway Ford of KC - Auto Body Shop Technician

Position Overview

Greenway Ford in Raytown, MO has an immediate need for an experienced Body Shop Collision Tech. The role is full‑time, requires a high school education, and requires a minimum of two years of prior auto body shop experience.

$5,000 sign‑on bonus for qualified candidates

• Perform work as assigned with efficiency, accuracy, and high quality following dealership, insurance company, and enterprise standards.
• Perform quality repairs and meet or exceed productivity requirements measured by hours per day for each repair order.
• De‑trim and disassemble vehicles, put parts on parts carts, and perform pre‑pulls to determine repair vs replace decisions.
• Approach repair planning with urgency and detail to avoid waste and rework.
• Assist in identifying and sourcing parts as necessary, using good judgment to determine when damaged parts can be safely repaired for cost and cycle‑time savings.
• Ensure work areas are clean and that equipment, tools, and supplies are properly stored.
• Consistently utilize all required safety equipment and follow proper repair procedures.
• Ensure required documentation is complete and complies with regulations and standards.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Two years of relevant experience required.
• I‑Car or ASE Certification (Welding, Silicon Bronze, etc.) preferred.
• Ability to follow directions and read work orders with minimal supervision.
• Excellent communication, customer service, and problem‑solving skills, including the ability to maintain composure under stress.
• Strong organizational skills, able to multi‑task, and manage time in a fast‑paced environment.
• Quality conscious and detail‑oriented.
• Able to drive both automatic and standard transmission vehicles.
• Valid driver’s license required.
