Automotive Sales
We are currently experiencing record-breaking volume in our Used Car Department and are looking for a highly motivated, analytical, and process-driven Acquisition Manager to join our team.
This is not a standard floor sales position. This is a management-track role designed for someone who wants to get off the sales floor, learn the desk, and master the inventory and acquisition side of the automotive business. You will work directly alongside the Used Car Manager to appraise trades, acquire front-line ready inventory, and manage the reconditioning pipeline.
Core Responsibilities:- Service Drive Acquisition (Primary Focus):
Actively mine the daily service drive appointments. Engage with service customers, perform professional appraisals, and acquire high-quality used vehicles directly from our service lanes. - Inventory Sourcing:
Utilize data-mining tools (like Auto Alert), social media platforms, and auction networks to proactively hunt and purchase inventory. - Appraisals & Valuation:
Work shoulder-to-shoulder with the Used Car Manager to learn how to properly evaluate, price, and structure vehicle acquisitions. - Reconditioning Management:
Oversee the department's recon pipeline. Coordinate with vendors and fixed operations to manage paint correction, dent repair, and rim repair, ensuring vehicles hit the front line as quickly and cleanly as possible.
We offer a transparent, highly aggressive pay plan built for a six-figure income. You get paid for every vehicle you bring into the dealership.
- Guaranteed Base: $1,000 Weekly Salary
- Acquisition Commission: $250 per vehicle acquired
- 15 Vehicles: $500 Bonus
- 20 Vehicles: $1,000 Bonus
- 25 Vehicles: $1,500 Bonus
Example:
Acquiring just 15 cars a month yields over $8,000/month between salary, commissions, and bonuses.
- Analytical Thinker:
You need a "brain for the business." You understand logistics, data mining, and process management. - Hustle & Communication:
You are comfortable approaching customers in the service drive and making a professional, low-pressure pitch to buy their car. - Highly Organized:
You can track multiple vehicles moving through the reconditioning pipeline (dents, paint, wheels) without letting administrative tasks slip through the cracks. - Previous Automotive
Experience:
Sales, service writing, or BDC experience is a major plus, but we will train the right highly motivated candidate.
If you are tired of the traditional sales floor grind and want to learn how to actually run a department, this is your opportunity. You will receive direct mentorship, hands-on training at the desk, and the financial backing to build a highly successful career in automotive management.
