Senior Project Manager- Site Civil

Overview

Weston & Sampson is currently seeking a Site Civil Senior Project Manager with 15+ years of experience to work in one of our Massachusetts offices. The Project Manager must have significant knowledge of site civil land development processes.

• Manage projects, including scoping, task management, invoices and final closeout.
• Plan, schedule, conduct and/or coordinate detailed phases of engineering work of several large-moderate scale projects.
• Supervise and support the work of others and mentor junior level engineers and design staff.
• Prepare project reports, calculations, drawings, construction plans and specifications, permitting packages, and documents for inclusion in final project deliverables across planning, design, permitting, and construction phases.
• Coordinate with clients, sub-consultants, regulatory agencies, and the public to accomplish objectives.
• Lead project teams on the design and delivery of site civil and facilities design, including related studies.
• Review project scope, work procedures, schedules, budgets, staffing, sub-consultant involvement, and progress milestones.
• Perform sophisticated designs and calculations in accordance with applicable guidelines and standards.
• Support construction activities, including responses to RFIs, submittal reviews, site observations, change management, startup and commissioning, and troubleshooting.
• Pursue new work related to planning, design, and construction administration of site-civil projects for private clients, including proposals, interviews, and contract negotiations as appropriate.
• Participate in professional organizations and technical committees as required.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental or Civil Engineering required;
  Master’s Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering a plus.
• P.E. license in MA or ability to obtain within 12 months of hire.
• 15+ years of experience working with private and municipal clients in engineering or project management roles.
• Strong written and verbal communication and technical skills, including project plans and presentations.
• Experience planning, organizing, and controlling activities of a project team.
• Demonstrated ability to manage medium to large projects on-time and within budget, across multiple offices or multiple projects.
• Established relationships with clients and regulatory agencies in the local area.
• Driver’s license required.

Salary Range: $145,000 - $170,000+ based on experience.
