Amazon Robotics is seeking a talented and motivated Electrical Test Engineer to join the Hardware Test Engineering team focused on next‑generation robotic system design. The electrical test engineer will plan, design, execute, and document testing of electrical systems and components, including fixtures design, test automation, and safety certification testing. The role leads and develops test strategies and solutions for new products with a focus on automation, cycle‑time reduction, and improving product quality.

• Work with hardware development, regulatory & compliance, program management, and other hardware test team members.
• Apply prior electrical test engineering experience, critical thinking and problem‑solving skills to create reliable and maintainable systems.
• Lead test strategy development, fixture design, test execution and reporting.
• Drive continuous process improvement and partner with cross‑functional teams to solve problems and implement new solutions.
• Manage automation, cycle‑time reduction and quality improvement initiatives.
• Ensure safety compliance and maintain rigorous test standards for all new prototypes and pre‑production hardware.

• Meet with cross‑functional teams to understand business needs, review requirements, and develop test plans.
• Collaborate with other Test Engineers, Hardware and Software developers to select appropriate tools and techniques.
• Develop test fixtures, execution strategies, and produce detailed test reports.

• Experience developing functional specifications, design verification plans and functional test procedures.
• Experience in component selection and understanding of component reliability.
• 6+ years of technical engineering experience.
• Experience building test automation frameworks and tools.
• Experience developing test strategies and plans for complex hardware/software systems or systems of systems.
• Experience using common electronics test equipment (oscilloscopes, power supplies, function generators, etc).
• Experience leading large, cross‑functional projects.

• Master’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or equivalent.
• Experience working with interdisciplinary teams to execute product design from concept to production.
• Experience identifying and solving complex problems through data analysis.
• Experience gathering test requirements to create detailed test plans and defining quality metrics to measure product quality.
• Experience working with Linux.
• Basic scripting experience in a high‑level programming language such as Python, Matlab, or LabVIEW.
• Experience with electric motors and motor test methodology.
• Experience in circuit‑level debugging down to the component level.
