Senior Electrical Controls Engineer
We are seeking a Senior Controls Engineer to lead the design, development, and maintenance of advanced control systems specifically for industrial cooling applications. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in control systems, focusing on integrating and optimizing strategies for cooling equipment to ensure a stable and efficient operating environment Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development of control system architectures and design algorithms to dynamically adjust cooling capacity based on real-time data such as temperature and humidity.
- Program and configure PLCs, RTUs, and HMI/SCADA interfaces tailored to data center cooling operations.
- Integrate sensors and actuators to monitor and control cooling systems effectively.
- Create and update electrical schematics, control diagrams, and process flow diagrams.
- Commission, test, and validate control systems to ensure smooth startup and reliable long-term performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues within operational cooling systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure cooling solutions meet performance requirements and participate in design reviews.
- Assist in planning, scheduling, and budgeting for cooling projects and retrofits.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation for programming changes, system designs, and maintenance procedures.
- Ensure all systems comply with relevant industry standards and safety regulations, such as UL/CE guidelines.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in designing, programming, and maintaining control systems.
- Proficiency in PLC programming, HMI/SCADA development, and the integration of sensor networks.
- Strong understanding of industrial automation and cooling fundamentals, including thermal management and airflow.
- Expert-level skills in creating and interpreting electrical schematics and control logic diagrams.
- Ability to work on-site and travel as needed for installations and maintenance.
