Opportunity Overview

As a Senior Systems Quality Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of Teradyne’s complex software and hardware solutions used in semiconductor test and automation environments. This position partners closely with Software, Systems, Hardware, Applications, Product Engineering, and Quality Engineering teams to validate end-to-end system functionality, troubleshoot complex technical issues, and drive quality improvements throughout the product development lifecycle.

The role is ideal for a motivated collaborator who enjoys understanding integrated systems, solving challenging technical problems, and leveraging automation to improve quality, efficiency, and release confidence.

• Lead the planning, development, and execution of system-level test strategies, test plans, test cases, and validation activities for complex hardware and software solutions.
• Develop, maintain, and execute manual and automated test solutions to validate functionality, reliability, performance, and end-to-end system workflows.
• Collaborate closely with Product Management, Development, Systems Engineering, Hardware Engineering, and Quality Engineering teams to define quality objectives, validation strategies, and release readiness criteria.
• Build and enhance test automation solutions using modern programming and scripting languages while integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.
• Support troubleshooting, isolation, and resolution of complex issues across software, hardware, networking, and integrated system components.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the adoption of best practices in system validation, automation, and quality engineering.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 10+ years of experience in Quality Engineering, Software Testing, Systems Validation, or a related engineering discipline.
• Extensive experience performing system-level, integration, and end-to-end testing of complex software and hardware systems.
• Strong understanding of Windows and Linux operating systems and system-level troubleshooting.
• Proficiency in at least one object-oriented programming language such as C# or C++, with experience developing and maintaining test automation solutions.
