Part-Time Optometrist Opportunity

There is an excellent opportunity for a part-time (one day per week) Optometrist at Reading Eye Associates, located in Reading, Massachusetts. This position offers a competitive part-time salary of $110 per hour!

Reading Eye Associates is a full service Optometric practice with a large dispensary and contact lens patient base located at 70 Haven Street in Reading, Massachusetts. The practice focuses on patient care, clinical excellence and unprecedented customer service. We offer modern technology to precisely meet the visual needs of every patient. Reading Eye Associates has a well established cohesive team that has been serving the local community for 45 years.

About the Optometrist Opening

This is a one day a week position at Reading Eye Associates, located in Reading, MA. Option for Monday, Tuesday or Friday 9:30- 5. The Optometrist will perform comprehensive eye exams, diagnose and treat vision disorders, manage eye diseases, and prescribe corrective lenses or treatments. The role includes educating patients on maintaining optimal eye health, working collaboratively with a team of healthcare professionals, and maintaining accurate medical records.

Exceptional patient care and adherence to the highest clinical standards will be key aspects of this role.

Minimum qualifications include:

  • Strong clinical skills in conducting vision assessments, detecting eye conditions, and prescribing corrective lenses
  • Knowledge of managing common eye diseases and providing therapeutic treatments
  • Excellent patient communication and education skills to explain treatment plans and answer questions
  • Proficiency in maintaining accurate medical records and documentation
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a healthcare team to deliver comprehensive patient care
  • Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited program and active licensure in the state of Massachusetts
  • Commitment to staying updated on the latest advancements in eye care through continuing education
  • Prior experience in optometry practice or clinical settings is a plus
