Blink is looking for an experienced System Development Engineer to join our growing Cloud Development Team. Blink’s mission is to make neighborhoods safer by offering affordable, accessible smart security solutions that work on any home. As part of the Amazon Devices family, you will help create the next generation of home security.

As a System Development Engineer at Blink, you will be responsible for business‑critical large‑scale cloud services used by millions of Blink customers. You will design, develop, and operate new cloud services for innovative Blink security device capabilities and continue to evolve Blink’s infrastructure within the larger Amazon ecosystem. Your work will involve streaming video, event handling, large‑scale deployments, high‑performance computing, and solving distributed systems problems.

We are looking for a talented engineer with a strong technical background, customer obsession, and extensive experience building distributed systems. Strong judgment, communication skills, long‑term technical vision, and a continuous focus on engineering and operational excellence are essential for success.

• 5+ years of non‑internship professional software development experience
• Experience building services using AWS products
• Experience with Linux/Unix
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines build processes
• Experience designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability, and scaling) of new and existing systems
• Experience with distributed systems at scale
• Experience in automating, deploying, and supporting large‑scale infrastructure
• Knowledge of database systems and SQL
