Accountant, Financial Reporting, Accounts Receivable​/ Collections

Description

A growing organization is seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to oversee day-to-day accounting operations and provide timely financial reporting to leadership. This position is ideal for an accounting professional who enjoys working in a collaborative environment, managing multiple responsibilities, and helping leadership make informed business decisions through accurate financial data.

Responsibilities

+ Maintain and manage accounting records within Sage 100

+ Prepare and provide weekly financial reports and updates to leadership

+ Record and reconcile company expenses

+ Manage accounts payable processes, including commission payments to business partners

+ Monitor ACH transactions and ensure accurate recording of automated payments

+ Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities

+ Create and maintain financial spreadsheets and reports to support business operations

+ Work closely with the Accounts Receivable team regarding customer billing and software renewal revenue

+ Support external payroll and benefits administration vendors by providing necessary accounting information and reports

+ Answer and direct incoming phone calls as needed

+ Ensure accuracy, compliance, and integrity of financial information

Requirements

Qualifications

+ Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred

+ 3+ years of accounting experience

+

Experience with Sage 100 preferred

+ Strong understanding of general accounting principles

+ Knowledge of accounts payable, reconciliations, and financial reporting

+ Advanced Microsoft Excel and spreadsheet skills

+ Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail

+ Strong communication and customer service skills

+ Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines
