Accounting Clerk

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team. This position will support daily accounting operations by assisting with accounts payable, accounts receivable, data entry, reconciliations, and financial record maintenance. Responsibilities:

- Process and enter invoices, payments, and other financial transactions.

- Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.

- Reconcile bank statements, customer accounts, and vendor accounts.

- Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation.

- Prepare deposits and apply customer payments.

- Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy and proper coding.

- Support month-end and year-end closing activities.

- Generate reports and assist with data analysis as needed.

- Respond to vendor and customer inquiries regarding account activity.

- Perform filing, recordkeeping, and other administrative accounting tasks.

- Assist with special projects and process improvement initiatives.

Requirements

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent required;
Associate's degree in Accounting or Business preferred.

- 1+ years of accounting, bookkeeping, AP, AR, or related experience preferred.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.

- Experience with accounting software or ERP systems is a plus.

- Strong data entry and numerical accuracy skills.

- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.

- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Preferred Experience:

- Accounts Payable processing.

- Accounts Receivable and cash application.

- Bank and account reconciliations.

- General ledger support.

- Quick Books, SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Net Suite, or similar accounting systems.
