LHH has partnered with our client, a construction and infrastructure services industry, that is seeking a Regional Controller to oversee financial operations across multiple business units. This is a highly visible leadership role offering the opportunity to influence financial strategy, improve processes, and partner closely with operational leadership on large-scale construction projects.
The organization is undergoing significant growth and transformation, creating an exciting opportunity for a hands-on finance leader to help stabilize and enhance the accounting and financial reporting function.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead all accounting and financial reporting activities for a region.
- Manage the month-end and year-end close process, ensuring compliance with GAAP.
- Oversee WIP reporting, revenue recognition, project cost tracking, and margin analysis.
- Develop and maintain forecasts, budgets, and financial models for regional operations.
- Partner with construction and operational leaders to drive financial performance and support decision-making.
- Supervise and mentor accounting staff, including oversight of payroll-related activities.
- Analyze financial results and communicate key trends, risks, and opportunities to leadership.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, controls, and reporting accuracy.
- Support audits, compliance requirements, and corporate reporting initiatives.
- Assist with system and process optimization within the accounting and project management environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- CPA preferred.
- 8+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience.
- Prior leadership experience.
- Strong construction accounting experience required (Project Accounting, WIP reporting, Job costing, etc.)
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
$175,000-$185,000
- Benefit offerings for full-time employment include medical, dental, vision
- PTO is offered on an accrual basis
- Paid Sick Leave where applicable by State law
