This position provides clerical and technical support to help manage the parole release process and keep case information organized and accurate. As an Institutional Parole Assistant, you will perform the following duties:
- Case Monitoring: Track inmate status, review reports, and assist in managing parole release requirements.
- Document Preparation: Prepare release orders, memos, reports, and required forms for parole processing.
- Inmate Assistance: Interview inmates to explain release procedures and respond to their questions.
- Record Management: Scan, update, and maintain files and docket information in automated systems.
- Communication Support: Respond to calls, relay information, and coordinate with staff, offices, and facilities.
- Data Entry: Input case information, track documentation, and update monthly parole dockets.

Work Schedule and Additional Information- Full-time employment, 40 hours per week.
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday – Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

- Four years of experience as a Clerical Assistant 2 in the Department of Corrections or Probation and Parole Board (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- One year of complex clerical experience; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.

- You must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.
