Position: Administrative Assistant - GMS Surgent

What

You’ll Do
  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to executives, managers, and departments at GMS Surgent
  • Manage calendars, schedule meetings, and coordinate logistics
  • Prepare, edit, and format correspondence, reports, and presentations
  • Answer and route phone calls, emails, and internal communications
  • Maintain electronic and physical filing systems, including client and tax-related records
  • Assist with tax administration tasks such as client intake, document tracking, tax deadline coordination, and filing support
  • Order office supplies and coordinate with vendors as needed
  • Assist with expense reports, invoicing, and basic recordkeeping
  • Support internal projects and handle administrative tasks
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions
What You’ll Bring
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Prior administrative or office support experience preferred, ideally in a professional service or tax environment
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and standard office technology
  • Willingness and ability to learn new technologies, software platforms, and administrative tools used in tax and office operations
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with accuracy and discretion
  • Professional office environment at GMS Surgent (in-office position)
  • Regular interaction with internal teams and external clients
  • Emphasis on reliability, adaptability, and attention to detail
