Position Overview

Responsibilities- Application Processing:
Access CIS menus to complete file clearances, register applications, and update grant activities. - Case Initiation:
Enter client information from applications into the system to prepare cases for Income Maintenance staff. - Clerical Transactions:
Input and maintain demographic and case data, process transaction requests, and reconcile case information. - Reapplication Support:
Prepare and issue recertification notices, schedule appointments, and handle related forms and data. - IEVS Actions:
Retrieve, print, and route IEVS information, record disposition codes, and enter case narratives. - Customer Service:
Greet visitors and/or respond to phone calls/voicemails to determine their needs and provide appropriate information or referrals.
- Full‑time employment, 37.5 hours per week.
- Work hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday with a 1‑hour lunch.
- Travel and overtime as needed.

Conditions:
Assigned duties are performed in a controlled office environment. In counties with District Offices, employees may be reassigned to different work sites due to operational needs. Reassignments will be made in compliance with contract language. - Telework:
This position may be eligible for part‑time telework. Specific details of the telework schedule will be discussed during the interview process. - Salary:
New employees within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania begin at a starting salary of $36,108 (before taxes).
- Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (or equivalent Federal Government job title).
- High‑school graduation or an equivalent combination of experience and training.
- Meet Pennsylvania residency requirements.
- Preferred:
Candidates living within Delaware County. - Must be able to perform essential job functions.
- A conditional offer of employment will require submission of criminal history reports.
- Background investigation must be passed.
