The Position
As a Clerical Assistant 2 with the Ebensburg Center, you will step into an environment where your coordination skills help keep operations running smoothly. This position gives you the opportunity to support staff across all shifts and maintain strong communication throughout the facility. Description of WorkThis role plays an important part in keeping the facility staffed and organized each day. The work supports residential living areas, supervisors, and staff across all shifts. As a Clerical Assistant 2, you will perform the following duties:
- Staff Scheduling:
Manage daily and long‑term schedules for all shifts to keep residential areas fully staffed. - Record Maintenance:
Maintain accurate logs, spreadsheets, reports, and time and attendance records. - Communication Support:
Share schedule updates with staff and coordinate with supervisors and managers when issues arise. - Overtime Coordination:
Apply overtime rules, track voluntary and mandatory overtime, and ensure compliance with agreements and procedures. - Training Adjustments:
Update schedules for staff training, meetings, trips, and special events. - Phone Coverage:
Answer multiple phone lines, record call offs, and relay messages as needed.
- Full‑time employment, 37.5 hours per week.
- Work hours are 1st shift; 5:00 AM – 1:00 PM, with rotating days off (details further discussed during interview). Hours may change based on operational needs.

New employees start at an annual salary of $36,108 (before taxes).
- Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title) or
- Graduation from high school or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
- Meet the Pennsylvania residency requirement.
- Be able to perform essential job functions.
- Conditional offer of employment requires a medical examination.
- Position falls under the Older Adult Protective Services Act. A conditional offer requires submission of satisfactory criminal history reports from PA State Police and FBI clearance.
