Job Summary:
This job provides essential administrative and clerical support to the building administrative team, with a primary focus on managing student attendance. While providing high-level administrative and clerical support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process and maintain confidential records related to student attendance
- Enter attendance into the student information system (Infinite Campus).
- Maintain and manage student attendance documents according to building procedures
- Assist with scheduling attendance meetings
- Prepare, type, and mail forms relative to attendance
- Maintain records for student attendance meetings and hearings
- Manage correspondence related to student attendance
- Maintain student obligations and provide assistance for other secretaries within the building.
- Draft, edit, and distribute correspondence, memos, reports.
- Organize and maintain both electronic and paper filing systems; ensure records are accurate, up-to-date, and accessible.
- Manage incoming and outgoing communications: phone calls, emails, and mail; respond or redirect as appropriate.
- Provide support across the building; stepping in for administrative tasks as necessary.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a school office or similar administrative role.
- Proficiency in Google, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and familiarity with student information systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills, ability to multitask, set priorities, and meet deadlines.
- Prior experience in a school setting, particularly in student services or administration.
- Familiarity with school behavior management systems or platforms.
- Abilty to speak and read Spanish
- Full-time, typically Monday Friday during school hours; occasional extended hours may be required.
- Work performed in a school office setting with frequent interruptions.
