Records Document Controller

Immediate need for a talented Records Document Controller. This is a 12+ months contract opportunity with long-term potential and is located in Reading, PA (Onsite). Please review the job description below and contact me ASAP if you are interested.

-18936 Pay Range: $24 - $27/hour. Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Document Scanning and Uploading
  • Scan and upload physical documents into the document management system in accordance with established procedures.
  • Document Control and Organization
  • Collect, register, and organize documents, including technical files such as drawings and blueprints.
  • Maintain accurate document records and filing systems.
  • Document Review and Maintenance
  • Review and update documents to ensure accuracy, version control, and compliance with quality standards.
  • Communication and Version Control
  • Notify relevant personnel of document updates, revisions, and new releases.
  • Ensure proper document access and usage procedures are followed.
  • Cross-Functional Support
  • Coordinate with multiple departments to manage records and ensure accessibility for authorized users.
  • Confidentiality and Security
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information and ensure document security protocols are followed.
  • Continuous Improvement
  • Identify and support improvements to document management processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Key Requirements and Technology

Experience:
  • High School Diploma or Associate Degree with a minimum of 2 years of experience supporting construction or engineering document control activities, including document review, scanning, uploading, formatting, and general administrative/clerical duties.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat is required.
  • Candidates should have experience working within engineering, construction, energy infrastructure, renewable energy, oil & gas, or electric utility environments.
  • High school diploma required OR Associate degree or equivalent preferred, but not required.
  • Additional training or coursework in records management or a related field is a plus.
  • 1–3 years of relevant experience preferred, but not required.
  • Experience in document control, records management, or a similar role is a plus.
  • Proficiency in document management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Effective communication, interpersonal skills and strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
