Logistics Clerk

Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Logistics Clerk to join a team in Reading, Pennsylvania in a contract opportunity with the potential for a permanent role. This position supports customer order activity from initial entry through shipment follow-up while helping maintain accurate records and responsive service. The ideal candidate is comfortable managing high-volume administrative tasks, coordinating with transportation partners, and ensuring shipping information is complete and compliant.

Responsibilities:

- Enter and update customer order information with accuracy, ensuring records remain current throughout the shipping process.

- Provide timely assistance to customers by answering questions, resolving routine issues, and communicating order status clearly.

- Work with carriers, freight providers, and external vendors to arrange transportation and support on-time movement of shipments.

- Prepare and review shipping and export-related documentation to help meet company and regulatory requirements.

- Track shipments, record milestone updates, and maintain organized tracing information within internal systems.

- Schedule freight bookings and confirm transportation details to support smooth order fulfillment.

- Process customer invoice-related data and verify supporting information for completeness and accuracy.

- Maintain a high level of data quality while handling large volumes of entry and documentation tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements - Experience performing high-volume data entry with strong attention to detail and accuracy.

- Background supporting customers in an order processing, logistics, or shipping environment.

- Familiarity with import and export documentation, shipment records, and related administrative processes.

- Ability to coordinate effectively with carriers, vendors, and internal teams to keep shipments moving.

- Working knowledge of tracking, tracing, and freight booking activities.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a customer-focused approach.

- Proficiency using business systems and standard office software to manage records and documentation. Talent Match®
