This is a pivotal role focused on driving new revenue, opening new accounts, and building long-term client partnerships. BusinessDevelopment Manager Responsibilities
- Identify, develop, and win new business opportunities across industrial and environmental sectors.
- Own the full sales cycle from prospecting through to close.
- Develop and execute a targeted new business strategy.
- Build relationships with key stakeholders across technical and commercial teams.
- Qualify and prioritize high-value opportunities.
- Deliver compelling proposals and close deals with confidence.
- Stay visible in the market, tracking trends, competitors, and client needs.
- Collaborate with marketing and internal teams to align growth initiatives.
- Minimum 5 years’ B2B sales or business development experience, ideally selling in lab services, environmental testing, or wastewater.
- Proven track record in securing new business.
- Strong pipeline generation and management skills.
- Comfortable engaging both technical and commercial stakeholders.
- Experience in environmental, laboratory, engineering, or compliance-led services.
- Experience navigating complex, multi‑stakeholder sales cycles.
- High‑visibility role with real impact on company growth.
- Report directly to the Managing Director, and take ownership for growing a commercial function.
- Strong progression & career pathway opportunities.
