About the Role
We are looking for a strategy leader to join the RELX Corporate Strategy team who can structure ambiguous problems, develop data-driven insights, and translate them into clear recommendations for senior leaders across RELX’s businesses. This role has an excellent track record of migrating people into commercial and leadership roles within our businesses and provides significant exposure to and opportunities to influence senior executives and the strategic direction across multiple business segments.
The role reports into the RELX Chief Strategy Officer and will have occasional international travel to our various global offices for project meetings and workshops.
The RELX Corporate Strategy team functions as an internal consulting team working closely with our businesses – Lexis Nexis Risk Solutions, Elsevier, Lexis Nexis Legal, and RX – to enable and guide the development of robust long-term value creation plans. You will work directly with senior stakeholders in the business to lead strategic initiatives focused on product innovation, adjacent market expansion, monetization strategy, and AI-enabled ways of working.
Responsibilities- Proactively identify strategic priorities, business needs, and pain points across RELX’s businesses.
- Lead end-to-end strategy projects from problem definition and structuring to delivering executive-level recommendations and driving stakeholder alignment.
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, shaping strategic choices, evaluating trade-offs, and challenging assumptions.
- Support the businesses with blue-sky thinking on the impact of emerging technologies and trends.
- Manage clear communication of RELX and business unit strategies through the creation of Board, investor, and annual strategic planning presentations.
- Lead and mentor junior team members, ensuring high-quality output and team development.
- Facilitate knowledge sharing across internal and external stakeholders.
- 5+ years in top-tier strategy, management, financial consulting, corporate strategy, business development, or similar roles.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required; MBA or equivalent is preferred.
- Exceptional analytical skills.
- Outstanding communication and presentation skills – written and verbal.
- Solid experience in delivering varied projects to senior stakeholders.
- Demonstrated project and time‑management skills, ability to work across several projects concurrently.
- Thinking strategically and tactically – seeing the “big picture” and operational details.
- Experience managing and developing junior team members.
- Problem solver who can think creatively.

- Base Pay Range: $136,100 – $252,800 (U.S. National) – Geographic differentials may apply.
- Base Pay Range for CO: $136,100 – $252,800.
- Base Pay Range for IL: $142,900 – $265,400.
- Base Pay Range for Chicago, IL: $149,600 – $278,100.
- Base Pay Range for MD: $142,900 – $265,400.
- Base Pay Range for NY: $149,600 – $278,100.
- Base Pay Range for New York City: $163,300 – $303,300.
- Base Pay Range for Rochester, NY: $136,100 – $252,800.
- Base Pay Range for OH: $129,200 – $240,100.
- Base Pay Range for NJ: $172,172 – $275,028.
- Eligible for an annual incentive bonus.
