Director, Portfolio Strategy Inflammation & Immunology

Responsibilities

• Develop and support long-range I&I portfolio strategy and planning across early pipeline, lifecycle opportunities, and emerging disease areas.
• Synthesize scientific/clinical/commercial/access/competitive/patient insights to define portfolio priorities and trade-offs.
• Assess opportunities across near-, mid-, and long-term horizons; translate strategy into leadership‑ready recommendations.
• Develop early commercial assessments for assets, indications, mechanisms, and disease opportunities; refine product concepts, TPP inputs, positioning hypotheses, and market archetypes.
• Provide commercial input to clinical development, evidence generation, lifecycle, and indication sequencing.
• Support business development and external innovation assessments (valuation, market sizing, competitive scenarios, strategic fit) and create executive‑ready materials.
• Partner cross‑functionally and support governance/portfolio review/investment decision forums; influence decisions without direct authority.
• Use AI‑enabled tools to improve landscape synthesis, scenario development, and strategy efficiency; ensure responsible/compliant AI usage.

• Bachelor’s +8 years OR Master’s +7 years OR PhD +5+ years.
• Experience in pharma/biotech/life sciences strategy, consulting, corporate strategy, commercial development, business development, forecasting, market research, analytics, or related.
• Strong strategic/analytical skills; ability to synthesize complex inputs into recommendations.
• Experience in portfolio strategy and/or early commercial assessment, business case/opportunity assessment, or cross‑functional planning.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a matrixed environment; strong communication/organization/problem‑solving/stakeholder management.

• I&I/autoimmune/specialty care or complex therapeutic area experience.
• Early commercial strategy/portfolio management/corporate strategy or BD assessment experience.
• Market access, payer, evidence generation, and value demonstration knowledge.
• Comfort with AI‑native/AI‑augmented environments.
• Discretion and sound judgment.
