DESCRIPTION OF WORK
This position provides leadership at a Driver License Center by supervising staff, overseeing testing, and maintaining safe and consistent service. The primary function of this role is to ensure that employees follow policies, support customers, and accurately complete licensing tasks. As a Driver License Center Supervisor, you will perform the following duties:
- Staff Supervision:
Direct employees, assign duties, manage schedules, and review performance for all center staff - Test Oversight:
Monitor the administration of knowledge tests, skills tests, and vision screenings for all applicants - Customer Support:
Promote courteous service and resolve conflicts to maintain a safe and respectful environment - Policy Compliance:
Ensure staff follow customer service rules, REAL s, and identity fraud prevention procedures - Record Management:
Analyze statistics, maintain reports, and oversee inventory of materials and equipment - Training Coordination:
Identify training needs, provide on-site instruction, and report unmet training needs to management
Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment, 40 hours/week
- Work hours are 8:15 AM to 4:45 PM, Tuesday - Saturday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Overtime and travel to other driver license centers may be required as necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year of experience as a Driver License Examiner ( Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration ); or
- Two years of experience as a Driver License Examiner Assistant ( Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration ); or
- Three years of experience obtaining, evaluating, and providing information to the public.
Special Requirements :
- All positions require an active Pennsylvania non-commercial Class C Driver’s License or equivalent and twenty-one years of age at the time of application.
- All positions require no suspensions or revocations of a driver’s license during the five year period immediately preceding employment.
