Dental Assistant C

Dental Assists with pediatric dental care by supervising students, providing chairside assistance, and performing clinical tasks such as radiography, instrument setup, and patient preparation.

• Prepare patients for treatment: welcome, comfort, obtain medical history, vitals, drape.
• Document clinical services and maintain accurate patient records.
• Provide dental materials: select, mix, and apply materials to instruments and patient.
• Create study models and handle radiographic procedures.
• Assist with cartography: expose, process, mount x‑rays; develop and polish study casts.
• Fabricate temporary restorations and clean/polish removable appliances to maintain patient appearance and function.
• Assist with chairside procedures and support dental students during clinical sessions.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene, treatment plans, postoperative instructions, and schedule follow‑up visits.
• Maintain confidentiality, adhere to infection‑control policies, and safeguard patient and staff safety.
• Conserve resources: manage inventory, monitor equipment usage, and maintain a clean work environment.
• Participate in professional development: workshops, publications, societies, and networking.
• Work full‑time weekdays 8:00 AM–5:00 PM; provide flexible scheduling as needed.
• Support team effort by completing assigned tasks.

• Technical school, certification, or training beyond high school; minimum 3 years of practical experience in a dental care facility or equivalent education–experience combination.
• Current CPR and BLS certification.
• PA DANB (X‑Ray) certification.
• Background clearance:
  Pennsylvania Criminal Background Check, Pennsylvania Child Abuse Clearance, and FBI background check.
• Knowledge of Axi Um clinical software preferred.
• Flexibility to accommodate varying scheduling needs.

Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (flexible scheduling required).

$19.32 – $22.00 per hour.
