Job Description
About the Role:
In this role, you will support documentation, inventory management, and standardization across all shifts in the Thermoforming Tool Room. You will help ensure SOPs and work instructions remain current, support training and onboarding efforts, and drive consistent execution of tooling processes. As the role develops, you will also contribute to tooling and parts coordination while helping improve organization, communication, and overall efficiency within the department.
- Documentation & SOPs
- Maintain and update SOPs, work instructions, and tooling documentation
- Ensure consistent standards across all shifts
- Organize technical records and documentation
- Serve as ISO Leader
- Support onboarding and training of Tool Room employees
- Assist with training materials and skill development tracking
- Inventory Management
- Support alignment of processes across shifts
- Identify gaps in standard work and communicate issues
- Help maintain consistency in tooling practices
- Manage master inventory, including ordering and procuring OEM components for the Tooling department
- Systems & Coordination
- Support organization of tooling records and information
- Assist with tracking tooling status and updates
- Help improve workflow and communication systems
- Additional Support
- Assist Technicians, AGLs, and management as needed
- Support continuous improvement initiatives
- Complete assigned department projects
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Experience in a manufacturing or technical environment (preferred)
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and instructions
- Basic computer skills (documentation and tracking tools)
- Strong attention to detail and consistency
- Experience in tooling, machining, or manufacturing
- Experience with SOPs or training support
- Prior coordination or administrative support experience
