At the present time, a vacancy exists for a Secondary Autistic Support Special Education Teacher within the Division of Student Services of the CCIU. This position is located at the Engle Education Center in West Grove, PA.
Duties & Responsibilities- Instruct individuals in special education skill areas
- Plan curriculum, lessons, and special education programs and teaching methods
- Evaluate and monitor student progress based on classroom performance, test scores, and observation of behavior
- Support objectives and interventions of the educational program
- Maintain safe physical environment of the classroom
- Maintain contact with parents of students and/or professionals concerning student progress
- Develop IEPs addressing specific academic, behavioral, and speech needs of students
- Prepare report cards, educational records, classroom observation records, and other documentation as required. Function as integral member of treatment/IEP team, addressing needs of students
- Minimum of a bachelor level degree in education required
- 3-5 years experience working with students with intellectual disabilities, autism and significant challenging behavior preferred
- PDE certification in special education required
- Experience with modifying general education content to meet the diverse needs of students
- Prior experience working with CDC students in an extended school year teaching position preferred
- Current police, child abuse & FBI fingerprint clearances
- Clearance as an MA provider by the Commonwealth of PA and federal government (conducted by CCIU upon hire)

$65,394 - $100,586 - Master's degree
$68,403 - $104,546 - Master's degree plus 15 credits
$69,938 - $106,442 - Master's degree plus 30 credits
Schedule & LocationCCDC Engle Education Center: 107 Schoolhouse Rd, West Grove, PA 19390
5 days per week, 7.5 hours per day, 194 days per year
