Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution (required)
- Valid Pennsylvania Department of Education certification in music or appropriate related content area
- Strong communication, organization, and classroom management skills
- The Wyomissing Area School District is seeking a motivated and student-centered 7-12 grades choral and general music teacher.
- Deliver engaging instruction using research-based strategies, differentiated instruction, and instructional technology
- Assess and monitor student progress to guide instruction and support student achievement
- Maintain a safe, structured, and respectful classroom environment
- Collaborate with colleagues to support curriculum development and instructional consistency
- Communicate academic expectations and student progress with students and families
- Support diverse learners, including students with IEPs, GIEPs, and English Language Learners
- Participate in professional development and perform other duties as assigned
- Qualified medical examination as per Pennsylvania law within 3 months of hire date.
- Valid criminal history check, child abuse clearance and Federal Bureau of Investigation criminal history investigation within one year of hire date.
