History Teacher

Full-time History Teacher with the ability to challenge students to attain high spiritual and academic achievement. Applicant must demonstrate expertise in teaching the following subjects: U.S. History, U.S. Government, African American Studies, World History and English I to IV – inclusive of written and spoken grammar, literature, and vocabulary building. Additionally, the applicant must be able to instruct students in honors and advanced placement courses.

Other duties would include class and club sponsor ships and student supervision as assigned.

• Practicing member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church
• Achieved no less than a Bachelor’s in English and History and has completed or is completing a Masters in English and History
• Prior teaching experience
• Preference will be given to teachers with dual degrees.
• Eligible for denominational teacher certificate
• Local Fingerprint and Background Check clearance
