PreK3 Teacher, St. Patrick Catholic School, Malvern, PA, Chester County
Saint Patrick School is hiring a full-time PreK 3 teacher. The PreK3 teacher is responsible for providing a warm, nurturing, safe, and developmentally appropriate learning environment for three-year-old children in a Catholic school setting. The teacher supports early childhood growth in social, emotional, cognitive, physical, and spiritual development, while integrating Catholic values, prayer, and faith-based learning into daily classroom life.
Instruction and Early Childhood Development:
Plan and implement developmentally appropriate lessons and activities aligned with early childhood standards and diocesan guidelines.
Teach foundational skills in language development, early literacy, numeracy, motor skills, and social-emotional learning.
Provide hands-on, play-based, and experiential learning opportunities.
Differentiate instruction to meet the individual needs of young learners.
Observe, assess, and document student progress regularly.
Faith Formation:
- Integrate Catholic teachings, prayer, and Gospel values throughout the school day.
- Lead daily prayer and participate in religious celebrations, liturgies, and seasonal events.
- Support the mission and identity of Catholic education in early childhood development.
Classroom Environment and Management:
- Create a warm, welcoming, and structured classroom that promotes curiosity, independence, and social growth.
- Establish consistent routines and age-appropriate behavior expectations.
- Use positive behavior guidance strategies aligned with Catholic values and early childhood best practices.
- Ensure a safe and clean learning environment at all times.
Family Communication and Engagement:
- Maintain regular communication with parents/guardians regarding student progress, behavior, and development.
- Conduct parent conferences and provide updates on student growth.
- Encourage family involvement in classroom and school activities.
