Position Summary
The Assistant Principal of Postsecondary Programs manages the development and delivery of communications, services, programs, and tools to equip students and families to successfully navigate the path from high school to college or career. While leading the Multiple Pathways Advising Strategy at the school, this position will drive strategy and collaborate with the NST team while overseeing and developing the expertise of the College Advisor, College Coordinator, Internship Coordinator, and Case Managers to ensure all parties are working together to support a successful post‑secondary transition.

- Manage the post‑secondary team (Internship Coordinator, College Advisors, and College Counselors) towards meeting all program specific goals
- Track data aligned to post‑secondary success (key pathway milestones, credit accumulation, SAT, direct enrollment, etc.) and adjust strategy as necessary in response to data
- Ensure all students are meeting graduation requirements and monitoring on‑track to graduation data (credit review, Act 158, etc.) and certify students for graduation
- Ensure successful implementation (scheduling, transportation, onboarding, crediting, etc.) for dual enrollment and internship opportunities
- Lead family engagement strategy (awareness and capacity building) around multiple pathways and ensuring 100% of families are engaged in the post‑secondary process
- Collaborate with APSS to ensure all students with IEPs have appropriate and aligned transition plans
- Coordinate and track alumni supports for recent graduates, including summer C3 coach management
- Serve as the testing coordinator for all post‑secondary assessments (SAT, ASVAB, NOCTI, Accuplacer, PSAT)
- Coordinate and project manage exposure experiences (college trips, college fairs, career fairs, etc.)
- Manage PA Career Ready Standards work for grades 6‑11
- Provide instructional coaching for high quality implementation of all seminar course curricula
- Lead professional development to build and evolve the multiple pathways strategy
- Maintain consistent feedback loop with NST Postsecondary team to ensure strategic alignment of goals
- Additional post‑secondary duties as needed.
- Superior grasp of effective post‑secondary advising and career readiness development for middle/high school students
- Strong people and project management ability, with the proven ability to influence and enhance cooperative working relationships within a team environment
- Strong, data‑driven management routines
- Interest in providing only the highest quality educational experience for students and their families
- Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, dynamic, and rapidly‑changing environment
- Ability to leverage computer software programs and other technology that will support the learning environment
- A proven track record of achieving measurable results
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Appropriate state certification required
- Four (4) years of related experience; success developing and implementing programming in an education, government, or non‑profit organization
- Experience working with urban youth in educational settings in related college access and/or career preparation preferred
- Familiarity with aspects of college counseling and career exposure programs, including college planning, career development, internships, as well as matriculation challenges and other barriers faced by low‑income, first‑generation college students preferred
- Ability to physically perform the essential duties of the role – either on‑site or remotely (as indicated), and to work in the environmental conditions required, such as: traveling to network campuses; maneuvering in office spaces (including standing, walking, sitting for long periods of time, speaking loudly and clearly, seeing and hearing things both near and far away); stooping, kneeling, reaching file cabinets/shelves;
