LONG-TERM AND EXTENDED SUBSTITUTE POSITIONS

COMPENSATION: LTS POSITIONS - PER RTMEA CONTRACT

STARTING SALARY RANGE

$68,300 (Bachelor’s
- Step
1) to $84,300 (Master’s
- Step
6)

EXTENDED SUBSTITUTE POSITIONS – KELLY EDUCATION, $180/day

The Rose Tree Media School District is seeking dynamic and student-centered applicants to be considered for anticipated long-term substitute and extended substitute positions at the elementary level for the  school year. These positions focus on developing foundational literacy, numeracy, social, and behavioral skills that support student growth and independence. The ideal candidates create a structured and engaging classroom environment, deliver developmentally appropriate instruction, and foster a positive learning experience for all students.

• Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education (PreK–4 or PreK–6) required.
• Valid Pennsylvania Teaching Certification in Elementary Education.
• Demonstrated ability to design and deliver engaging, standards-aligned instruction in literacy and mathematics.
• Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners and support student growth.
• Knowledge of child development and the ability to provide developmentally appropriate instruction for early elementary students.
• Strong classroom management skills that support a structured, positive, and inclusive learning environment.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and families.
• Experience implementing evidence-based instructional and behavioral strategies.
• Experience integrating technology and digital tools to support instruction and student engagement.
• Current required background clearances (see below).
