Job Overview
Field Service Technician – Philadelphia Area (Travel)
Reporting to the Field Service Manager, you will deliver high‑quality customer service, perform preventive maintenance, routine repair, and calibration/verification of Hach devices at municipal and industrial customer sites.
Responsibilities- Perform preventive maintenance, routine repair, and calibration/verification of instrumentation using established company standard work.
- Provide on‑site customer support for technical and service‑related problems, promoting a positive customer experience.
- Submit prompt, accurate service reports that inform billing, inventory, instrument history, and failure analysis.
- Follow safe work practices and company safety policy during all tasks.
- Execute administrative activities in support of service visits, including travel booking and vehicle rental as required.
- HS diploma required; associate’s degree or equivalent technical education preferred.
- Previous experience in travel‑based field service or customer‑facing roles strongly preferred.
- Basic mechanical aptitude; experience with preventive maintenance, technical diagnostics, and repair is helpful but not required.
- Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and ability to rent cars and book hotels under state law.
- Ability to travel regularly; up to 75% overnight stays with company‑paid travel, accommodations, and meals.
- Must be able to work a schedule of up to four 10‑hour shifts per week, plus required travel, based on workload demand.
- 10‑week comprehensive training program (8 weeks on‑the‑job + 2 weeks classroom).
- Company car, cell phone, and credit card for company expenses.

Base pay range: $29.00–$31.00 USD per hour, with potential incentive pay. Salary may vary based on education, experience, skills, seniority, location, travel requirements, and other factors.
