Summary
This position will be a key member of a small team responsible for the forecasting, budgeting and financial results analysis of Energy Transfer’s margin generating activities, as well as supporting joint venture financial reporting and budget presentations. The candidate will operate in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment and work closely with Commercial, Accounting and Operations groups. The role is based in Houston or Dallas and supports the presentation and preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial analyses to leadership, joint venture partners, investors and ratings agencies.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Participate in the budget and forecast process for margin activities.
- Prepare and present monthly results to commercial and operational leadership.
- Maintain productive relationships with commercial, accounting and operations groups.
- Prepare budgets and forecast information for joint venture partners.
- Analyze the impact of changing market conditions on revenue.
- Prepare Management Discussion and Analysis for 10Q and 10K filings.
- Create quarterly analysis packages for financial, commercial and operational leadership in preparation for quarterly earnings calls.
- Support the FP&A Manager and Vice President of Finance in responding to requests from external joint venture partners.
- Assist the Corporate FP&A group in preparing presentations to investors and ratings agencies.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong Excel modeling skills.
- Solid time‑management skills; ability to handle multiple projects, meet deadlines and work independently in a fast‑paced environment.
Big 4 audit or consulting experience, preferably with exposure to the oil and gas industry, is a strong plus but not required.
Working Conditions- Normal office working conditions.
- Must remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
- Occasional overnight travel may be required.
- Occasional visits to industrial or manufacturing settings, which may include exposure to various materials and chemicals, extreme temperature conditions and loud machinery, requiring appropriate personal protective equipment.
- Associate Analyst level requires a Bachelor’s degree and 0–2 years of relevant experience.
- Analyst level requires a Bachelor’s degree and 2–5 years of relevant experience.
- Senior Analyst level requires a Bachelor’s degree and 5–8 years of relevant experience.
