As a Fiscal Officer, you will provide professional accounting support for County categorical programs within the Wayne County Human Services Agency (HSA). You will maintain and reconcile housing-related grants, prepare and submit invoices and fiscal reports, calculate required grant match, and ensure revenues and expenditures are recorded accurately and in line with accounting standards. You will also have the opportunity to support budgeting, financial reporting, cost allocation, and audit preparation, while ensuring provider expenditures follow contract limits.
The position includes supervising one Fiscal Technician and performing related duties as needed.

- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday – Friday, with a 60‑minute lunch
- May have irregular hours, including evenings, weekends or holidays
- Employee may have overnight travel or out of county travel for meetings or training

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Two years as a Fiscal Technician and six college credits in accounting; or
- Five years of bookkeeping experience and six college credits in accounting; or
- Three years of accounting and/or budgetary experience and a business related associate's degree that includes six college credits in accounting; or
- One year of accounting and/or budgetary experience and a business-related bachelor's degree that includes six college credits in accounting; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training that includes or is supplemented by six college credits in accounting

- You must be able to perform essential job functions
- You must pass a background investigation
- A conditional offer of employment will require a drug screening
- This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law, which requires satisfactory criminal history reports including PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance
