ResponsibilitiesDirect involvement in the completion of Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs) and PBSPs for children with various learning disabilities or behavioral/emotional needs.
Provide training to staff teams and, as much as possible, to parents on the implementation of PBSPs and data collection.
Collaborate with treatment teams that typically include: principal, head teacher, classroom teacher, 2–3 direct care staff, OT, SLP, PT, Nurse, and job coaches.
Deliver regular training in ABA concepts and principles for all staff.
Education:
Masters’ or Doctoral degree in psychology, special education, or related field.Licensure/Certification:
Board Certification in Behavior Analysis (BCBA or BCBA-D) required.Experience:
Prior experience working with students with special needs; prior experience writing FBAs and BSPs.EEO and safety:
Devereux maintains a zero-tolerance policy for abuse and has policies to reduce risk of abuse; willingness to cooperate with authorities.
Consistent work schedule of 3 days a week (Mon–Fri) 8:00 AM–4:00 PM.

Devereux Pennsylvania Children’s Services will offer a high-quality, innovative program for students in grades K–8 with primary diagnoses including intellectual disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, emotional disturbance, learning disabilities, and speech/language impairments. The Day Academy’s core curriculum aligns with the Pennsylvania Core Standards and partner district curricula to facilitate transitions to and from the program and local schools.
Devereux Pennsylvania Children’s Services (DPACS) serves children, adolescents, and young adults with autism spectrum disorders, intellectual and developmental disabilities, behavioral, emotional, and psychiatric challenges. Services include psychiatric residential treatment, acute inpatient psychiatric hospital, assessment services, community-based mental health services, employment and social skills training, and approved private school educational services for ages 6–21 with relevant diagnoses.
