Job Summary:

• This job is for 2nd shift which is variable and rotational every third week.
• The MRI Technologist demonstrates an understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, contrast agents, MR safety and medical terminology.
• Maintains a high degree of accuracy in positioning and technique. The MR technologist performs MRI procedures according to established protocols to obtain diagnostic information as ordered by the physician.
• Prepares and administers contrast at the direction of the radiologist in accordance with state and federal guidelines.
• Ensures the delivery of quality care in a safe environment for infant through adult patients.
• The MRI Technologist remains sensitive to the physical, cultural and emotional needs of the patient through good communication, patient assessment, patient monitoring, and patient care skills in a non-judgmental and non-discriminatory manner.
• The MRI technologist engages in continuing education to enhance patient care, public education, knowledge and technical competence while embracing lifelong learning.
• The MRI technologist uses independent, professional and ethical judgment, along with critical thinking in performance of duties.

Schedule:

• Primarily Second shift with variable shift coverage.
• Rotating every 3rd weekend.
• Weekday and Weekend On call coverage (4 hours before notice).
• Holiday rotation with on call coverage.

Qualifications:

• Post High School Diploma Program.
• BLS Certification.
• Registered as an MRI Technologist with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist RT (R) (MR) or Registered as an MRI Technologist with the American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist (ARMRIT).
• RT (R) (ARRT) or RT (R) (MR) or RT (MR).
• Excellent Communications Skills.
• Excellent Interpersonal Skills.
