Adcock Brothers is looking for a versatile HR Generalist to join our team in Manheim, PA.

Because we operate as a multi-line business enterprise, no two days look exactly the same. In this role, you will work closely with enterprise leadership to support diverse teams across our different business lines. You will help develop, implement, and administer HR policies, programs, and procedures designed to attract, retain, and develop a high-performing workforce. From onboarding and benefits to employee relations and regulatory compliance, you will serve as a vital, trusted resource for both management and employees.

Onboarding, Development, & Performance
  • Lead on-site employee onboarding and orientation sessions to integrate new hires seamlessly into Adcock Brothers' operational standards and culture.
  • Assist in designing and developing training programs to enhance safety, technical skills, and professional growth across divisions.
  • Drive core performance management processes, including annual evaluations, structured goal setting, and practical manager coaching.
Benefits, Compliance, & Operations
  • Coordinate and administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and wellness initiatives.
  • Maintain highly accurate, up-to-date, and secure digital employee records within our internal systems.
  • Assist leadership in creating, updating, and implementing uniform HR policies across all operational branches.
  • Ensure strict compliance with federal, state (Pennsylvania), and local employment laws and regulations across all daily operations.
  • Participate in strategic corporate HR projects and complete other duties as assigned to support organizational growth.

Requirements

Multi-Line HR Support & Employee Relations
  • Provide tailored guidance to managers and employees across multiple business segments regarding internal HR policies, procedures, and daily workplace issues.
  • Manage employee relations issues with a balanced, empathetic approach, fostering a collaborative, positive workplace culture.
  • Conduct thorough, objective investigations when necessary, ensuring fair, compliant, and documented resolutions.
Education & Experience
  • Background: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field,
    and/or 3–5 years of dedicated HR experience.
  • Environment Fit: Prior experience in a multi-divisional, fast-paced corporate, logistics, or transportation environment is highly preferred.
Knowledge & Technical Skills
  • Compliance: Strong working knowledge of federal, state (PA), and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Tech Savvy: Proficiency in Microsoft Office/Google Suite and hands-on experience navigating HR Information Systems (HRIS).
Core Competencies & Soft Skills
  • Communication: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to confidently connect with and support employees at all levels (from office personnel to fleet and service teams).
  • Discretion: Demonstrated ability to handle highly sensitive, personal, and confidential data with absolute discretion and legal compliance.
  • Work Style: A collaborative team player who is highly organized, details-driven, and entirely capable of working independently to manage competing priorities on-site.
Preferred Qualifications
  • SHRM-CP or PHR certification is highly preferred.
